Dutch traffic signs practice — Learn every sign

Traffic signs are a big part of the Dutch theory exam. You need to know not only their meaning but also how to act on the road. Targeted practice lets you recognise each sign instantly and avoid unnecessary mistakes on exam day.

Categories of Dutch traffic signs

In the Netherlands there are four main categories of traffic sign. Each type has its own shape and colour, so you can recognise them quickly — even from a distance.

Prohibition signs

Round, red border

Tell you what you must not do. Think: no overtaking, speed limit, or one-way streets.

Command signs

Round, blue

Tell you what you must do. For example: required direction or bicycle path.
